Last week I started running with NIKE+ system. It consists of pair of Nike+ shoes (similar to ones on the picture), Nike+ Kit and an iPod. The kit contains a small chip inserted into the Nike+ shoe and a receiver inserted into iPod.
Then you run. While running and listening to your favorite music, you get the real time notification on your running progress. You track the real time distance and an average pace, and you get data about calories burnt and total time spent after your workout.
And, the best thing about it, Nike has created an excellent website (Nike+) where you can upload your results and challenge your friends in different competitions.
Since I am an amateur runner, when you use this system, you get the feeling like you can run your heart out. And you can define your "power song", and use it when you need special surge of energy for that most difficult meters ahead.
As one of the Nike T-Shirts says: "Log out, shut down, go run" (if you want to run with me, my Nike+ username is BojanJovicic).
